Vaping Tips For Beginners
Vaporizing is a healthier alternative to smoking. Since there's no fire or combustion taking place, you can enjoy your herb without the harmful effects of smoking. Unfortunately, many beginners are lost and confused when it comes to using a vaporizer for the first time. Don’t worry, we’re going to share some helpful beginner’s tips on how to get the most benefit from your device.
Choose a Quality Vaporizer
I can’t stress enough the importance of choosing a quality vaporizer. One of the biggest mistakes first-time tokers make is purchasing a cheap vaporizer from some no-name company overseas. Sure, you might save a couple bucks, but you’ll end up paying more for it in the long run. Cheap vaporizers tend to produce sporadic heat, break down far more easily, and some of then even contain harmful chemicals in the coating.
Don’t Burn It
The entire of purpose of using a vaporizer is to heat cannabis just enough to release the THC, CBD and other cannabinoids without burning it. If you’re used to smoking cannabis, you may naturally want to heat your bud to the point of combustion. If you’re going to burn your bud, though, you might as well roll it up in a joint or pack it in a bowl.
Temperatures vary depending on the density of your bud, but 338 degrees Fahrenheit seems to be the sweet spot for most vaporizers. Feel free to play around with your temp settings to see what works and what doesn’t.
Green Is Good!
You might be surprised to learn just how many vape tokes you can get out of a single gram of cannabis. As long as there’s still some green color to your bud, you can continue vaping it. Some people even save their vaped bud to use in cannabutter or other edible products.
Take Slow, Shallow Tokes
Don’t underestimate the power of a vaporizer. Just because you don’t see a thick plum of smoke building up in your device doesn’t mean it’s any less potent. I recommend taking slow, shallow tokes until you grow accustomed to your vaporizer. As your lungs become adjusted, you can take deeper tokes while holding it in longer. The key thing to remember is that you want to toke slowly for maximum benefit.
