This duo has been around for nearly half a decade, highlighting marijuana through movies, music, TV shows, radio shows, and other forms of media. In the rare event that you've never heard of Cheech and Chong, let me explain who they are and why they are important. Richard "Cheech" Marin and Tommy Chong first appeared on the big screen during the 1970s, starring in cannabis-themed movies like Up in Smoke, Cheech & Chong's Next Movie, Nice Dreams, Things Are Tough, All Over (1982), Still Smokin, and Cheech & Chong's The Corsican Brothers. 

Their names have become synonymous with the cannabis movement for this very reason. Of course Cheech and Chong have gone beyond the film industry, dabbling in stand-up comedy, music, and other business ventures. They've released more than a dozen different albums, and they've made numerous appearances on shows like Saturday Night Live, Lopez Tonight, etc.

So, what's next in store for Cheech and Chong? According to Wikipedia, the duo have no plans on retiring anytime soon. They are currently working on a new document that chronicles their early lives during. The documentary, dubbed "Still Smokin,'" is expected to be released sometime in 2016. Cheech and Chong are also working on a new script with Snoop Dogg, B-Real, Method Man, Redman, Wiz Khalifa, and Currency.
